We're planning to offer a new level
again after a long time. The details aren't finalized yet, so stay
tuned!
We have redesigned the look; have fun
with it!
The Karlsruhe association "RetroGames"
is paying tribute to the history of this game in a special
interactive exhibition entitled "40 Years of Tetris". At
Schauenburgstraße 4, during regular opening hours on Saturdays from
3 p.m. to 10 p.m., visitors can marvel at the interesting and
curious things that the two curators Kay Weidenmann and Mario
Berlute have put together with great attention to detail.
A 13-year-old American, Willis Gibson,
achieved the seemingly impossible on December 21: He finished the
1989 NES version of Tetris, which actually has no ending. In just
under 40 minutes, Gibson played through the game to level 157,
where it suddenly came to a standstill. As an experienced Tetris
pro with the pseudonym "Blue Scuti", Gibson has has already taken
part in several tournaments and has over 1,230 subscribers on his
YouTube channel.
For all those who haven't discovered it
yet: The picture on the right is not only beautifully colorful, but
you can even click on it.
As of today, a variant is available
which makes Novotris even more exciting and offers more variety. In
the mode "speed" (in contrast to the ""classic"), the faster the
stone reaches the bottom, the more points it earns. Check it out!
Tetris helps people cope with the
consequences of trauma. This is the conclusion reached by a team
from the Ruhr University Bochum together with a researcher from the
Karolinska Institutet in Sweden following a study of 20 patients
with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
The English version is now online!
Exciting News: Novotris goes
international! An English version of the game is currently in its
final stages of development and undergoing testing. We can look
forward to welcoming players from all around the world to join in
the fun and excitement. Stay tuned for the official release and get
ready to challenge players from every corner of the globe in
Novotris!
If you play as a "guest" (i.e. without
registering), you must expect that games will no longer be visible
at some point. This happens, for example, when you delete the
browser data. In this respect it is practical to create an account.
Then you are independent of computer and browser. If you don't like
that, you can of course continue to play as a guest.
Level 6 is unlocked, have fun playing!
Furthermore, there was an error during registration, which is
hopefully fixed now.
Level 6 will soon be available! It will
be interesting to see who will have worked their way up to this
level by then.
Tip: With the "P" key, you can not only
pause a game, but also continue ("Play") or start it.
Finally:
Long
stone from Tetris gets its own game (Unfortunately only in German)
Minor bugs are being fixed again and
again. For example, it should no longer be possible to play all
levels immediately before you have worked your way up!
As of version 2.3 you can create an
account with a username and password. The previous method with the
automatically created user still works.
The original "Tetris" was created back
in 1984 and is still played today on all kinds of platforms.
